You know it is weird when you hear that there are all these security breaches all the time. What kind of security briefings are being given to government employees? Is anyone giving security briefings at all? Well today Proton (tech firm that has password manager, secured storage, secured email, and VPN based in Switzerland) has found that 3,191 congressional staffers had their passwords exposed on the dark web and also told the staffers who were affected. Guess where some have used their government email for? Did you guess? Well they used their government email for adult sites and dating websites!!!! That is huge fucking no, no. If someone in the military did this, let just say they would be having a come to Jesus moment in front of the Commander. But I guess congressional staffers just get a pass. Is no one going to even give them a warning to never do this? There was one congressional staffer that had “31 passwords exposed” on the dark web. This type of hack is very alarming and is a threat to our national security. During an election it is especially critical to take care of this in order for the elections to be secure. There should be a mandatory retraining on why you should never use your government email and or go to risky site’s using government computer systems. They need to be reminded and drilled into their minds (figuratively) on not using official government resources for personal uses. Come on congress and get your shit together. Use fucking common sense and do not be stupid. I will put the link below from the Newsweek story:
