How have your political views changed over time?

My political journey has been marked by a profound transformation. I began as a liberal, truly believing that the Democratic Party was the champion of compassion, equality, and justice. Their messaging appealed to my desire to help people, particularly the vulnerable and marginalized. For many years, I thought the Democrats were the answer to society’s problems, and I was proud to align with them. However, as time went on, I began to notice discrepancies between their promises and the results of their policies.

At first, I justified these discrepancies by assuming the issues were too complex for immediate solutions. I told myself that the Democrats were still working toward the greater good, even if progress was slow. But the more I observed, the more I realized that many of their policies seemed to exacerbate the problems they claimed to address. Instead of empowering individuals, they fostered dependence. Instead of uniting people, they created divisions along racial, economic, and ideological lines.

As I dug deeper, I began to see something more troubling: an underlying hostility toward traditional values and faith-based principles. This hostility was not just political; it felt spiritual. I started to see that many of the policies and ideologies promoted by the Democratic Party seemed to undermine the moral fabric of society. It was as if they were pushing an agenda that was not just misguided but intentionally destructive. I could no longer ignore the feeling that there were demonic forces at play within the party.

This realization led me to reevaluate everything I believed. I began exploring conservative ideas, something I had once dismissed without a second thought. At first, it was difficult to reconcile my previous beliefs with what I was now learning. But the more I studied conservative principles—personal responsibility, limited government, and respect for life—the more they resonated with me. These principles aligned not only with common sense but also with my growing faith in Jesus Christ.

My faith journey was pivotal in this transformation. Becoming born again through Jesus Christ opened my eyes to the truth in a way I had never experienced before. Through prayer and scripture, I gained clarity on the moral issues facing our society. I realized that life is sacred and must be protected at all stages, from conception to natural death. This belief became the foundation of my conservative values, particularly my opposition to abortion.

Abortion is one of the issues that most starkly divides liberals and conservatives. As a liberal, I had once supported a woman’s right to choose, believing it was a matter of personal freedom. But as I grew in my faith, I came to see abortion for what it truly is: the taking of an innocent life. I could no longer justify it, no matter the circumstances. Women deserve support and compassion, not the lie that ending a life is the solution to their problems.

Another issue that solidified my conservative stance was the push for gender ideology, particularly the notion that children should be allowed to change their sex. This ideology is not only harmful but also deeply rooted in confusion and deception. Children are not capable of making such life-altering decisions, and it is our responsibility as adults to protect them from harm. I firmly believe there are only two genders, as created by God, and any attempt to redefine this truth is a rejection of His design.

In addition to these social issues, I became increasingly disillusioned with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. While I once saw them as a way to promote fairness, I now see them as mechanisms that prioritize identity over merit. These policies undermine the value of hard work and create resentment among those who are qualified but overlooked in favor of fulfilling quotas. True equality comes from treating everyone with respect and judging them based on their character and abilities.

My shift from liberalism to conservatism was not an easy process. It required me to confront uncomfortable truths about the ideologies I had once embraced. It also meant facing criticism from friends and family who did not understand my change in perspective. But through it all, I found strength in my faith and in the knowledge that I was standing for what I believed to be right.

As I became more involved in conservative circles, I discovered that the Republican Party is not a monolith. There are many factions within the party, each with its own priorities and perspectives. While I do not agree with every stance taken by every Republican, I have found a home within the broader conservative movement. It is a movement that values freedom, responsibility, and the sanctity of life—principles that align with my faith and moral convictions.

One of the most significant lessons I have learned is that true compassion is not about enabling destructive behaviors or validating lies. True compassion is about seeking the truth and helping others to live in alignment with it. This is why I feel so strongly about protecting the unborn, defending traditional gender roles, and rejecting policies that divide us based on superficial characteristics like race or gender.

I have also learned the importance of personal responsibility. Liberal policies often promote the idea that the government is the solution to every problem. But I have come to see that real change starts with individuals and families. When we take responsibility for our own lives and support one another in our communities, we can achieve far more than any government program ever could.

My faith has been the guiding force in this transformation. Through prayer, scripture, and fellowship with other believers, I have gained clarity and strength to stand firm in my convictions. Jesus Christ has shown me that truth is not relative; it is absolute. This truth is the foundation of my conservative beliefs and my commitment to living a life that honors God.

I do not expect everyone to agree with me, but I hope that by sharing my journey, others might be encouraged to seek the truth for themselves. The issues we face as a society are not just political; they are moral and spiritual. We must approach them with both courage and compassion, always seeking to do what is right in the eyes of God.

In reflecting on my journey, I see it as part of a larger spiritual battle. The ideological divisions in our society are not merely political; they are a clash between light and darkness, truth and deception. As a conservative and a Christian, I feel called to stand for what is right and to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Looking ahead, I am committed to continuing this journey with humility and determination. I will strive to be a positive influence in my community and to advocate for policies that reflect truth, justice, and compassion. My hope is that more people will open their eyes to the realities I have come to see and that our nation will return to its founding principles of faith, family, and freedom.
